Event Description

Learn to keep your fruit trees small through summer pruning, ideal for intensive home orchards or even just one tree. We will discuss the differences between summer and winter pruning and their application to the home orchard. Summer pruning is easier and less exacting than winter pruning so it is a good place for beginners to start. You will learn basic pruning cuts, what kind of tools you need, how to shape and train trees and how to prune for stronger trees and better fruit.

Taught by Homegrown Neighbor Lora Hall. $40
