Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

Hello all:

For keeping deer from eating garden (veggie) plants, I've heard a lot of suggestions. We've tried things like perfume, scarecrow, etc.

ANYWAY, my question isn't specifically on things to keep them away... I have a more general question:  Do the deer only eat the younger plants?  We have some peppers and tomatoes we got from a nursery that are about 2-3 foot tall and blooming.  I'm wondering if the deer would bother with them. ???

Last year, the deer ate our small plants, but then left the peppers and tomatoes completely alone after they got to be tall.  Will the deer leave these biggies alone if we put them in the garden?

Thank you,

Kay
