Even Better Homes and Gardens (Blogs by and for)

Hey there fellow RHs,

When I got married, my MIL bought me a lifetime subscription to Better Homes and Gardens. For anyone who knows me, this sounds preposterous. I am not a consumer culture kind of girl. But anyone who really knows me knows that I secretly adore reading about home stuff and yes, absolutely also garden stuff. 

However, as you can imagine, BHG regularly leaves me quite a bit less than satisfied. Boo hoo. It's a racket, of course. They are just trying to sell shit. 

But I really do want to read about homemaking arts, like in a magazine or even daily paper kind of way. Love it. Can't get enough. And the blog world has given me a form for that. Very exciting.

I've compiled all my favorite blogs into an "offline feed reader" so that now I have my own, Rad, Radical, Even Better Homes and Gardens Daily. I still wish it was hardcopy, that I could hold and smell and leaf through, but, so it goes. At least I'm saving trees.

Anyway, my point is could we, right here, start some kind of list? Any RHs with blogs give a link and a short description?

Dog Island Farm is my blog. There are usually 1-3 entries per week depending on whether all three of us (contributors) write at least once per week.

It's a self sufficiency blog and includes gardening tips, recipes, etc. for those living in an array of settings from highly urban to rural.

I have a blog, mostly about cooking from scratch, called Lost Arts Kitchen: lostartskitchen.blogspot.com . I also write about food politics and sustainability at times, too. Usually only post a couple times a month. I'm working on a post about meat processing now.
