Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

Sigh...summer is slipping through our fingers, and we're thinking of growing stuff in the colder weather. Our good friend (and HOMEGROWN Contributor) Willi has a great how-to on her site, DigginFood.com using cheap and easily available materials. Below is a list of other sources for DIY cold frames and greenhouses

Basic constructed cold frame from DIY Life

Cold Frame Using Old Windows from Green Building Elements

Geodesic Dome Greenhouse from Instructables.com!

From the Oct/Nov 2009 issue of Mother Earth News - DIY Greenhouse - build your own greenhouse

Below is a video DIY for a Mini greenhouse using a CD spindle from Instructables.com. Another sign that anyone can grow food, anywhere.

Good pointers and thanks. It's that time of the year. Just yesterday the forecast called for lows just under 32F and I was concerned about my little box, but it looks like that won't be the case. I'll be looking to make something like the above soon.
