I have four raised beds I'm working on this year, one bed I have added four wheel barrels of composted chicken straw and leaves. I want to start adding some tomatoes, peppers and onions. I will dig a small hole and add some dirt then put the plant in, this bed has direct sunlight for more then six hours a day. I'm hoping this will work because our soil is hard clay that is the reason for the raised beds.

I have planted cucumbers and a wee pumpkin and four Jalapeno peppers, some cabbage and some sunflowers. My mint from last year has returned and is bigger than ever, the sun has helped the cucumbers really blossom.

The wee pumpkin, this is the first time I have tried this pumpkin hoping it will survive.
