Hurrah! It's almost time to start the early spring gardening.

Last year, we started way to many seeds and starts and gave many to our neighbors. I am wondering if this would be a good group to actually plan some seed trades/starts through.

I'd be more than happy to host a little get together at our Central District home to discuss and plan this!

I'm really up north of Bellingham, but I'm new to this general area and I am unfamiliar with the normal schedule of planting, so this is good info for me. I doubt if I would drive all the way to Seattle for this though; I'm about a mile south of the Canadian border. I joined the Seattle group because I doubt if there would be a group up in my actual neck of the woods.
Hey Jim,

The book you need more than any other for Northwest gardening is the Seattle Tilth's Maritime Northwest Garden Guide. It's a paperback, about $15.00, and should be available from nurseries or bookstores in your area. If not, you can get it from them directly at www.seattletilth.org.

I know some serious home gardeners in the Bellingham area. I'll have to invite them to the play on the site.
Thanks Knox. I am going to check this out for sure.

AAArg! I am a year late... but I just placed my orders for some very special tomato seeds to start next month, and would love to find a community to trade and share with!
