Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

I live in an apartment in Branson Missouri with my family. We have plants inside, plants on the patio, and surrounding our little corner of the building we grow lots of produce and herbs from spring - fall, and even some in the winter! We talked to property manager and maintenance/landscape manager a couple of years ago when my folks first moved in. The questions "Can we grow some flowers and food in the area around our building?" All they had was a few little landscape bushes and their response was "Maintain it and keep it nice, and we don't mind at all!" 3 years later, the garden is in fantastic health with luscious soil and grows fabulous food for our family! Our neighbors love it.

More great places to garden -

your neighbor's house

a local school or church

vacant lots in the city

a coffee shop or restaurant with a landscape that needs some TLC

Never be afraid to ask and explain just what you want to do, because the worst anyone can say is no and they could say YES!
