Hi, Emily. Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content). I’m so glad you found us. All hail the humble pilaf! I hope you’ll find plenty of projects and ideas here to spur you on, and I hope you’ll be game for sharing some of your own, too—maybe that advent calendar, but no rush!—in our member blog, The Stew. Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!
Hi, Emily! Apologies for the slow response—and thanks so much for letting me know about KC Food Circle. I've added it to the Find Good Food by state page. As for the resources included on that page, we only find out about things to add when folks like you pass the word along, so if you have any partner organizations in KS or MO, or if know of other organizations like yours in other parts of the country, by all means, send 'em my way! The more the merrier! On a related note, I see that KC Food Circle has a community garden. I've been trying to find someone to write a HOMEGROWN 101 on how to start a community garden for the site. Any chance there's someone in your group who would be willing? We would credit you guys, of course, and link prominently to your site. Let me know! Fingers crossed!
Hi, Emily. Thanks so much for the community gardening tip—and for Ben's direct contact info. Much appreciated! I've just updated our Find Good Food page, so you're now listed under both KS and MO. Sounds like you guys are all up to great stuff in the metroplex. If you've ever got events or otherwise you're looking to spread the word about, please feel welcome to post them here on HOMEGROWN. Really glad to know you!
