Fill in the blank:: Apartment balcony farmer

A bit about me:: I'm building up an 'edible balcony', mostly herbs but attempting some veggies - anything that will grow in a pot. I'm fairly new to apartment living, and missing my compost heap but enjoying the challenge of a different approach to gardening. We have a new gardening group of residents in my block, creating a community herb garden in pots in a shared space.

Latest greatest meal cooked at home:: Yesterday I marinaded lamb chops in coriander, ginger and lime juice, with some rice bran oil, then baked them in the oven. Pretty happy with the result.

Currently reading:: The Glass Room, by Simon Mawer

Currently listening to:: An indie folk playlist on Spotify.

My latest DIY project:: Knitting an entrelac blanket for my daughter's cats, ostensibly to use up left-over yarn (but actually had to go and buy more wool to get the colour balance right...). Oh, and I'm attempting worm towers in my veggie pots.

How did you find HOMEGROWN.org?: Stumbled upon it when searching out recipes for my herbs. I landed in Harvesting Herbs 101.
