Dirt Under My Fingernails City Slicker, Earth Mama, 100% Homegrown
A bit about me:
I am a forty-something vintage apron wearing Momma. I am an avid hand stitch queen, I despise sewing machines and patterns they make my eyes go crossed. I love to cook for family and friends. I am currently working on a cookbook. I am into fermentation of all kinds and I have dubbed myself "Fermentation Fatale", I brew and sell Kombucha at my local Farmers Market along with other items such as homemade deodorant, safe herbal cleaning agents, herbal teas, tinctures and salves. I am an herbalist and have been using herbs in all shapes and sizes for over two decades and love to help others heal themselves.

Hi, Shannon. Welcome to HOMEGROWN and happy Monday-after-Thanksgiving! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content). I love welcoming moms who love good food. Which reminds me: We’re currently on the hunt for Thanksgiving photos to drool over. Since you cooked your holiday meal at home, please don’t be shy about posting pictures of your feast!
And since everything on the site comes from our members, I hope you’ll be game for sharing more of what you know, too. Tell me: What’s the most out-of-the-ordinary thing you’ve fermented, Miss Fermentation Fatale? (What a great name.) And would you be willing to share the recipe for one of your herbal cleaning agents? That would make a great HOMEGROWN 101. Let’s chat, and if you're even a little bit curious, I can give you the details on how those work.
Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!
