What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
100% Homegrown
A bit about me:
I love my garden, my cats, my dogs, my husband, and my kids (not necessarily in that order--it varies from day to day). I love to cook real meals with real food whose source is easily identifiable. I appreciate the simple things in life: a beautiful sky, a campfire, my daughter's laugh, my dog's smile. If I have any free time, I love drawing and painting!
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Grilled pork chops (from a local family farm where we get 90% of our meat), green beans, and watermelon (from a farmstand up the road--the ones in our garden aren't ready yet!) Simple, but delicious.
Currently reading:
The Complete Idiot's Guide to Seed Saving and Starting
Currently listening to:
Waylon Jennings (always), Willie Nelson, Blackberry Smoke, Zac Brown Band, and Travis Tritt. I also love Bruce Springsteen, Yes, Paul Simon, The Allman Brothers, Nina Simone, Ray Charles....the list can go on and on!
My latest DIY project:
My garden, of course! We're also building a patio. And when things slow down toward fall, we'll be building a greenhouse with some old windows that someone was going to throw away.
How did you find HOMEGROWN.org?

Hi, Sharon. Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here: site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content. I’m so glad you found us. I hope you’ll turn up plenty of projects and ideas here to spur you on (you might check out these photos from another HOMEGROWN member, Charlotte, who also built a greenhouse from recycled windows), and I hope you’ll be game for sharing some of your own, too (your own garden pics, please!), in our member blog, The Stew. Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!
