What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Dirt Under My Fingernails City Slicker
A bit about me:
Paired with kindergartener of my own, toddler I babysit, and three cats. In the ramping up stage of urban homesteading, working on killing my lawn, building self-watering veggie plots, greywater, bees and eliminating waste packaging. Aspire to more fruit trees and veggies. So far haven't convinced anyone on the homestead that taking care of fowl is fun... Phooey.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
roasting a pot full of diced root veggies
Currently reading:
The Velvet Room and The Windup Girl
Currently listening to:
Disney's Robin hood
My latest DIY project:
killing my lawn with cardboard and city mulch

If you're near silverlake come see my silkies. they are the lapdogs of the chicken world! I also recommend getting the book "Extraordinary Chickens" by Stephen-Green-Armytage and leaving it around the house.

Hey! I just found this site, and here you are! How is the acorn flour going? I have gathered acorns but nothing near the 50 pounds you mentioned. Yikes! Marcia
