Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

Once upon a time a family left their little house in Ohio and headed West to see some sights. Abraham Lincoln sites. Laura Ingalls Wilder Sites. Natural wonders like the Badlands, the Tetons, Old Faithful and Glacier. The Miracle of America Museum.

What the family did not want to see was billboards the same kind of chain restaurants available in their town. Instead, they wanted to experience local food as well as local attractions.

Here's how we did it.

These suggestions apply equally well to families with kids and to adults, to folks on an all driving vacation or folks, like us, traveling light for an end-of-trip flight.
