Celebrate the culture of agriculture & share skills (Growing! Cooking! Eating!)

Last year I said fuck grass i ripped out ornamentals and put food every place i could.
I just read back yard homested and I am even more inspired NOW.
This year i got goals and I intend on playing full out. MY inner farm girl is in full effect. I grew up on a farm and now live in a gated golf community (no we do not golf we just liked the house..) The chicken are for sure not ok with the HOA rules and regulations so what, I love my chickens almost as much as my parrots. Any way off topic my plan for 2010 is as follows.
I would like to produce 2000 lbs of veggies
200 lbs of fruit and 1700 eggs( the chickens will produce these)
I would like to exspand my garden by 100%.
so far 6lbs of lemons 3 lbs of limes and 5 lbs of winter greens 150 eggs long way to go wish me luck.

our HOA doesn't allow poultry either. My husband was just voted in as VP of the HOA so hopefully by infiltrating we can eventually get that one changed.

lol you do have a rooster!...That is most often written in the Regs. as the big no no concerning keeping chickens in residential areas and cities lol...they are to noisy. I my self enjoy there proud call, that greets the morning...as well as other times when they are just feeling cocky.
They can be mean little bugger's as well.
