I love to write about making space for wildlife in the city and think that one of the best things we can do for urban kids is give them gardens full of flowers and wildlife like bees, butterflies, birds, etc. This is also one of the best things we can do for the wildlife that passes through our cities!

Hi, Alison. Welcome to HOMEGROWN! My name is Jennifer, and I'm the flock tender here (site updater and tweaker, feeder and waterer of content). I’m so glad you found us—and thanks for weighing in last week on Lucy’s dilemma. We love getting our HOMEGROWN mitts on moms who love good food! I hope you’ll find plenty of projects and ideas here to spur you on, and I hope you’ll be game for sharing some of your own, too—maybe on your urban wildlife endeavors—in our member blog, The Stew. And you may have found it already, but since you’re reading EB White, you might be interested in this post from one of our regular bloggers. Elsewhere on HOMEGROWN, you can always find the latest additions to the site at the top of the homepage, and if you’ve ever got questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my profile page or shoot me a message. I hope you feel right at home!
