What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Dirt Under My Fingernails City Slicker
A bit about me:
I am retired teacher. Husband and I from farming families. He was raised on a truck farm(melon, cotton, onions main cash crops)here in NM. My mom's side of family dairy men from far northern Vermont. We have high raised beds veggie garden so I can garden from my wheelchair(para since '70). Dog lovers. pet types plus my service dog all family members. I follow Mary Jane Butters magazine etc.( Mary Jane's Farm). I quilt, knit, sew, make fringe for garments of various Buddhas(statues).
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
chunky pasta sauce using herbs, onions, peppers and variety of heritage tomatoes over cheese ravioli, green salad including beets from garden. Fruit from local CSA.

I'm in ABQ, too and a teacher. I teach middle school at a K-7 school in the North Valley where we have a gardening and handwork program (weaving, knitting, quilting, etc) and wonder if you would have any interest in sharing your handwork talents with us. Thanks,
