What kind of HOMEGROWN are you?
Fill in the Blank
Fill in the blank:
pastured berkshire pork, bronze turkeys, freedom ranger chickens and pekin meat ducks
A bit about me:
A mom whos youngest son was born at 25 weeks...one pound seven ounces weight..many health issues. Fast forward to our deciding the best thing for him was no meds..healthy food, fresh air and exercise...so now we raise our own grass-fed pork, poultry and eggs. We share with a community thats helps support us by a CSA. Our farm is not large, but we have quality animals, welfare standards and results. Many of our customers have health issues like my son used to.
Clean food matters.
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
Slow roasted purebred Berkshire hog in a smoker/roaster for 12 + hours... over apple, cherry and hickory chips! Simply the best!
Currently reading:
Old periodicals about farming the way our ancesters did.
Currently listening to:
My latest DIY project:
Getting the baby animals outside as soon as the weather is consistently warm.
