A bit about me:
i'm a conceptual artist and environmental activist. i departed brooklyn, ny in 2006 in search of a place to try experiments into a more sustainable way of life, and ended up in the wild west (near the town of marfa in the big bend region of texas). my partner and i live mostly off the grid, harvest rainwater, grow most of our own food year round. we blog about our homestead at http://www.theobviousobserver.com and solar cooking http://www.sunovencookery.blogspot.com and host the "use half now" community on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/USE-HALF-NOW-CAMPAIGN/316473176497?re...
Latest greatest meal cooked at home:
spring rolls with garden lettuce, basil, mint, cucumber, and homemade tofu. still working on growing our own rice and soybeans. : )
