I grew up in up state new york and moved to Los Angeles to get away from the country and now as an adult I am bringing the Farm to my back yard.

2010 1/4 acer plan

I would like to produce 2000 lbs of veggies 200 lbs of fruit and 1700 eggs( the chickens will produce these) and I would like to exspand my garden by 100%.
so far 6lbs of lemons 3 lbs of limes and 5 lbs of winter greens 150 eggs long way to go wish me luck.

still going hard with for 2000lb of produce and 1700 eggs

Well April is hardly worth talking about we work in the garden a lot and harvested almost nothing

2lbs of limes

4lbs lemons

2lbs kumquats

10oz of Strawberries

8oz of blueberries

3lbs kail/chard

237 eggs

may was little better

2 lbs lowquats

5lbs of cabbage

3.5lbs tomatoes

11.5 artichokes

10 lbs zucchini

2lb of chard

8lbs kail

10 lb lemons

1.5 strawberries

march update

Well as i said in my last blog 2000 lbs of produce and 1700 eggs and march is the first month, so this is my update lets go with the good news first 185 eggs:-) yes right on track .... as for produce:

3lbs of kale/collard greens

7 lb of lemons

1 lb of limes and 9 oz of strawberries

2 oz of blueberrys.

So as you can see i am very behind on the produce i hope to play catch up in the summer months.

I am going hard for 2010

Last year I said fuck grass i ripped out ornamentals and put food every place i could.
I just read back yard homested and I am even more inspired NOW.
This year i got goals and I intend on playing full out. MY inner farm girl is in full effect. I grew up on a farm and now live in a gated golf community (no we do not golf we just liked the house..)
